I have been an official Optimist for 38 years, although I have been a lifelong Optimist at heart. I love being a member of both my local clubs. I fully support the projects and activities we provide for the youth of our community, and I truly enjoy seeing the smiles on the faces of the children we work with. I am proud to be from a community of 9300 people that can boast of supporting 2 successful Optimist Clubs, one with 84 members and one with 25 members. I fully support the work of Optimist International and the Foundation. As the OIF Rep. for our District for two years, I was dedicated to promoting the benefits of the Foundation and its’ support for all the OIF programs. I enjoyed talking to the clubs and members in our District whenever I could to explain all the benefits of supporting OI and the Foundation. I have served as the District Women’s Philanthropy Chair for the past several years and I believe this is an area that needs to be promoted and strengthened more. I believe in the Optimist Creed and our mission. I feel I have something to offer as a member of the OIF Board of Directors. I would be honored to serve in that capacity and ask for your vote.
