Established in 1988, the Optimist International Foundation of Canada is a not-for-profit charitable organization. OIFC works with Optimist Clubs located in over 855 communities in Canada.

Mission

Optimist International Foundation of Canada’s mission is to provide educational opportunities and charitable assistance for boys and girls involved in Optimist programs. Since 1988, the Canadian Foundation has provided significant funding for Optimist programs in Canada.

Scope of Service

1.5 million youth served annually by programs funded by the Canadian Foundation. Optimist International Foundation of Canada depends on support from Optimist Clubs and individual members, the general public, businesses, and corporations. Since 1988, our supporters have contributed over $3,000,000. The Optimist International Foundation of Canada has lent support of over $1.2 million dollars to Canadian Optimist programs in the same time period.
