Reach for the Stars! Mission: the Kids! Our October 1st blastoff coincides with Optimist International Foundation’s 40th anniversary celebration. We began celebrating last year, and are having so much fun, we want to keep it going.
This year brings us a unique Dime-A-Day pin. It’s not just Dime-A-Day – it’s Dime-A-Day PLUS!. Your $40 unrestricted gift any time this Optimist year gets you this unique pin. You’ll want to wear it all year long.
We have also asked our Presidents Club members – and anyone else who can reach that far – to stretch their regular $250 Presidents Club gift to $400 in honor of our 40th anniversary. If you can’t, we understand. No worries! A $250 gift is still a Presidents Club gift. We just know that many of our Presidents Club members make multiple gifts throughout the year and exceed the $250 threshold. Letting you know of our hope for an additional gift early in the Optimist year, it may help your planning.
There will be OIF fundraising parties in most Districts, too, in honor of our 40th birthday. We encourage non-Optimists and Optimists who have never given to the Foundation to have some fun in our honor and learn a little about the Foundation in the process.
Now that we have achieved liftoff, please join us as our rocket goes through its phases this year from blast off to booster, orbit, and payload. Only with your help can we truly reach the stars and achieve our mission – the kids!
