The Club Pass Through Program

This program is designed to assist Clubs in obtaining donations from local businesses and individuals. Clubs benefit by using the Optimist International Foundation’s status as 501(c)(3) organization, thus making donations to the Club tax-deductible. First, a Pass Through Grant application must be submitted to the Optimist International Foundation. Once a donation is received, the check is sent directly to the Optimist International Foundation, and we send a check of the same amount to the Club. To get started, the only requirement for this program is the completed Pass Through Grant application. The donor’s checks need to be made payable to the Optimist International Foundation. This program enables the Foundation to assist Clubs in raising money for local projects.

Club Campaign Fund

The Club Campaign Fund is designed to assist Clubs in raising money throughout the year for special projects or programs. Clubs set up a Campaign Fund with the Optimist International Foundation, and simple interest prorated over the year is accrued on the fund balance, until the money is used. The current simple interest is 6%. A minimum fund balance of $500 is required before a withdrawal can be made, and the funds must be held for a minimum of three (3) months.
